How to make a request

As of June 11, there are changes to the requesting process as shown below.

  • Sign in to LibrarySearch then find your item(s). You can also find your item first, then sign in.

  • If you do not sign in, you will not be able to see the links you need to request an item through the Curbside Pickup Service

  • Go to the item's full catalogue record and look for the GET IT link. If the item has a GET IT WITH HATHI ETAS link, you cannot request it from Curbside.

  • If you have not yet signed in, you will be prompted once more to do so.

  • As long as you are signed in, you will see a link to request the item through Curbside Pickup.

  • Clicking on the CURBSIDE PICKUP link opens up a form. Use it to choose from the available pickup locations. You can add a comment. Click SEND REQUEST to complete the requesting process

  • You will no longer receive a confirmation email.

  • Once the item is ready for pickup, you will get an email at the address that the library has on file for you. If an item is not available, you will get a message saying so.

Check your request status

  • Sign into LibrarySearch
  • Click on your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen
  • Select MY REQUESTS

Book pickup & due dates

    Pickup window & due dates

Pickup: Items will be held for pick up for 7 days (14 at Robarts and Kelly (St. Mike's)) from the time of your email pickup notice. Please allow up to 2 hours from the time you receive your email before arriving for pickup.

Due dates: Due dates of Curbside Pickup Service items are extended to the end of September 2021 OR whenever your library privileges expire, whichever comes first. Renewals are not applicable at this time.

To check due dates: Either click on the MY ACCOUNT link on the UTL homepage – just under the LibrarySearch box – or sign in via LibrarySearch. Click on your name to see the MY LOANS link. Due dates appear next to each item charged out to you. This FAQ explains.

    • This service is specifically intended to support users who cannot climb the stairs to the Robarts Library Curbside Pickup desk
