Robarts Library is part of the St. George Campus tour. Visit St. George (Downtown) Campus Tours to learn more and sign up.

University of Toronto Alumni can also request a Robarts Library tour by emailing library.advancement@utoronto.ca.

Access print collections (books, journals, government documents, and other materials)

While the Robarts Library primarily supports members of the University of Toronto community, we are committed to making our exceptional print collections available for wider use.

One-Day Visitor Pass

You can request a free, one-day pass to consult specific books, journals, government documents, and other materials:

the purpose of your visit
details about the print materials you wish to consult

We review requests Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. You'll get a reply within two business days. If your request is approved, you'll receive a confirmation email / visitor pass. You may receive up to three, one-day passes per month. If you'd like to visit more than three times per month, you'll need to purchase a library membership.

To enter the library, bring:

Interlibrary loan

Many print items can be borrowed through your home institution or public library's interlibrary loan service. Contact them directly for more information.
