 University of Toronto Libraries (UTL) has received reports that freelance work is being advertised through Facebook and other channels, referencing Robarts and using the email address johnprobertsresearchlibrary @ gmail.com. These advertisements are not connected to UTL, and any implication that they are is fraudulent. Our student jobs are posted only through the Student Jobs page linked below.

Staff positions

University of Toronto Libraries staff positions consist of various unionized (CUPE 1230, CUPE 3261, USW) and non-union positions. Staff positions are posted on the Staff Opportunities page of the U of T Careers website.

Student positions

CUPE 1230 Student Casual positions are available within a variety of libraries at the St. George Campus. These casual positions are available to University of Toronto students enrolled in a course or courses leading to a degree or diploma covering the majority of the academic session or registered in the School of Graduate Studies. These student positions are posted on the Library Student job site. Academic session positions are typically posted mid-August, while Summer session positions are typically posted in April. Some CUPE 1230 Student Casual job postings may also be advertised throughout the year when there are vacancies.
