The Information Commons Computer Access Facility (CAF) is located on the first floor of Robarts Library and is available during regular Robarts Library hours.

The computers and printers are provided for University of Toronto students, faculty, and staff.

The configuration of each computer is displayed on the screen:

Internet Office computers provide the same services as well as the Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
Design Space computers provide the same services as the Internet Office computers as well as scanners and image and web page editing software.

Computers are available to currently registered students, active faculty, and staff.

Note: computers and printers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. They cannot be booked in advance.

If you are looking for a free Library computer, you can check our Computer Availability website for up-to-the-minute computer vacancies. The site provides overview and detailed information for many Library Computer Access Facilities (CAF) on campus.

You will need to use your UTORid to access the workstations. Your UTORid appears on your TCard.
Note: There are 2 computers which do not require a UTORid login near the Information Desk that provide access to the UTL Catalogue and ACORN.

You can also print wirelessly from your laptop using printers and photocopiers in the Computer Access Facilty as well as select other locations in Robarts Library and around campus.

Other U of T Facilities

University of Toronto departments, colleges and faculties provide a variety of computer services to its students, faculty, and staff. This includes 3D printing services. Check their websites for eligibility to use any listed facilities.

Get help

If you experience difficulty with the printers, like paper jams, paper running out, problems with the TCard, library card, or photocopy card, contact the appropriate library staff. If you are at Robarts Library, the Information Commons Help Desk is on the 1st floor.

Requests will be handled by one of the Tier 1 support contacts and, as necessary, escalated to the Tier 2 support contact or Supervisor.

Requests will be issued a tracking number and you will be kept informed of the request status (technician assignment and resolution progress) by e-mail.
