Teaching supports

We can help support your teaching goals. We are happy to meet with you to design in-person or online library workshops to support the needs of your students.

We offer both synchronous and asynchronous instruction to help students build critical information literacy skills they need to be succeed in your course and throughout their programs.

Some common library session topics include:

developing comprehensive, critical literature search skills
using RefWorks or Zotero to manage citations and create bibliographies
critical citation practices
untangling AI in the literature search and review process

We have also developed a suite of asynchronous information literacy tools for your students, including:

a series of self-paced Quercus research modules (customized by OISE department)
education-focused research guides
a selection of short video tutorials

The OISE Library team can help:

acquire a title for the library’s collection
preserve and share your research on TSpace, the University's Open Access Repository
support your research data management strategy
meet with funding agencies' open access requirements
track the impact of your publications

OISE librarians also offer one-on-one and small group research consultations. These are intended for in-depth research assistance including designing a literature search strategy, getting started on a knowledge synthesis project, and more.
