Unlock the power of Stata, a comprehensive statistical software tool used for data analysis, visualization, and econometric modeling. This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for students, researchers, faculty/staff and professionals who are new to Stata and want to build a solid foundation for conducting data-driven research.

Through hands-on practice and step-by-step guidance, participants will learn the fundamentals of Stata

What to Expect:

  • Introduction to Stata's Core Features: Navigate the interface, understand its functionalities, and get familiar with writing and executing basic commands.
  • Dataset Management: Learn how to import and export datasets, clean data, and manage variables efficiently.
  • Exploring and Analyzing Data: Perform summary statistics, explore relationships, and identify patterns within your dataset.
  • Creating Simple Visualizations: Generate basic graphs and charts to effectively communicate insights from your data.

By the end of the session, attendees will feel confident in using Stata for basic data analysis and will be equipped with resources to continue their learning journey.

Prerequisites: No prior knowledge of Stata is required. A basic understanding of statistics is helpful but not mandatory.

Who Should Attend: This workshop is ideal for individuals with little to no prior experience with Stata, including undergraduate and graduate students, early-career researchers, faculty/staff and anyone interested in developing analytical skills.
